About OMY
What OMY is
OneMoreYear (OMY) holds your Last Post — what you'd want the world to hear if you weren't here to say it.
The idea is simple. You write something that matters, something you'd want said when you can't say it yourself. Every year — or however often you choose — we ask if you'd like to defer it one more time. Most years, you will. That's the point. You're still here, and the message can wait.
The year you don't defer — because you're not here to answer — is the year it goes out. That's your Last Post. That's OMY.
You write it once, choose two photos, and we handle the rest. Your message is only shared when there's no reasonable doubt left that we should.
How we know when to send it
We don't guess. We check. Once a year, every six months, or monthly — whatever you choose — we send a quiet notification. One tap on "Not today?" and we're done.
If a check-in goes unanswered, we don't panic. People miss notifications. We wait, we try again, we give you every reasonable chance to respond. If you've told us you might be unreachable — deployed, traveling, recovering — we hold longer.
Only after every gentle path has been exhausted do we ever reach out to anyone else.
The people you trust
You can name up to two representatives. They're optional — some people don't want to burden anyone with this, and that's okay.
If you do name someone, we contact them with care. We tell them you trusted them, and we ask, gently, if they can tell us how you're doing. We never ask them to make a decision. We only ask them to share what they know. Their answer is one piece of evidence — never the final word.
Before anything goes live
A human always looks before anything goes live. No algorithm decides this. When every signal points to the fact that you're gone, a person on our team reviews the full picture — missed check-ins, what your representatives said, whether your accounts have been silent — and makes the call.
Even then, we wait 24 more hours. One last notification goes out. If you respond in any way, everything stops. Only after every layer has cleared does your message go where you asked it to go.
Where it goes
Exactly where you choose — your X account, Facebook, or both. Your Last Post appears where you've asked it to, and nowhere else. We don't keep posting, we don't create memorial pages, and we don't become part of your story. We simply deliver your final message.
What this costs
$35, once. Ever. Not a subscription or an annual renewal. You pay one time and we hold your Last Post for as long as it takes — whether that's next year or fifty years from now.
